Unrest after SCOTUS ruling on Roe
Pro-choice crowds took to the streets in cities across the country after SCOTUS struck down Roe, sending the issue of abortion back to the states. Pro-life advocates were also out, celebrating the decision. While most managed to protest peacefully, as President Biden called for, some of the usual characters used the ruling as an opportunity to emerge from their basements.
In Seattle, independent journalist Jonathan Choe documented four instances of assault. One against himself, another against his security guard – who was hit in the head with a pipe.
In a third case, a street preacher was assaulted and his Bible torn to shreds.
In another, a female holding a sign that read “life wins” was attacked and pepper-sprayed by anarchists.
