I am so happy to update you on Miranda.
Today, she was approved to be released from the hospital.
After a week on a ventilator, and a couple days where we didn't know whether she would live, it is beyond inspiring to see the progress she has made.
Miranda still has a few tough weeks ahead of her, including physical therapy to regain full motion of her arms and legs. The doctors told us this in normal and due to the paralytics she was administered while intubated. Still, she was able to walk out today (mostly under her own strength) wearing this cool t-shirt the lung doctors gave her!
Our entire family is so grateful for your words of support, as is Miranda. She wanted me to tell you that she looks forward to returning to the show when she's feeling better, and said to those who offered prayers: "I felt it. I needed it. It worked."
Thank you to the wonderful team at Jackson Memorial Hospital, specifically the Ira C. Clark Diagnostic Treatment Center. You saved her life. We also want to thank the team at Jackson West Medical Center in Miami, who took care of her in those first few critical hours and were there for her again this week.
Life is a blessing. Live it to the fullest with love in your heart. Hug your family tight.
